What do y'all think? Might this be the cover art for "Good News"...?

I mean, it would make sense seeing how it's on their site, along w/the other cover art from the Float On single. Although, it sorta doesn't flow w/the title but then again, neither did the cover art for M&A. O'well, just wondering if we're seeing the new art design w/o realizing it.

Ha, if I were in charge of the cover art it would be a newspaper saying at the top of it "Good News for People who love bad news" and under the title have something explaining how the world didnt explode or something. Then underneath of that it would say "Modest Mouse" Yeah....

Well, I found one site (http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=6704375&cart=177863530&style=music) so far that's selling the new release but they're not showing the cover art of course. :confused:

lol, I doubt Wal-Mart will have it. Or will they? Oh well, there's this WAY awesome record store by us called Silver Platters, they have EVERYTHING there! Even this band called The String Cheese Incident, which is kinda funky.

Hey, my one coworker was telling me about this band. :shock: You're the first person (well, besides him) that brought them up.

And for the record, I have NO IDEA where I'm gonna get MM new release seeing how our extremely cool music store "Manifest" is closing down in my area. I'll probably break down and go to Best Buy for it seeing how they do have some MM stuff at our local store. Here's hoping that they'll carry the new release.

i bought M&A at wal-mart the day it came out. I cant believe that was four years ago. nearly. i've actually bought three copies since then...from wal-mart. its a tradition thing. When I think of modest mouse i think of the general decay of our culture which the place represents. for a while now they've ellicited visions of dead 70's malls, as offered up by teeth like gods shoeshine. its a transition into entropy and the loss of true value: from mom&pop craftspeople, to early department stores-to strip malls-to malls-to superstores-to armageddon...i dont need NONE of that mad max bullshit.

it's a hummingbird.. there's some lyrics about hummingbirds in bmwi, makes sense.. Apparently m&a was kind of a riddle, I'd like to find someone who can explain that to me though, cause I can't solve it.

on the web site they have a picture of a new cover they are doing for M&A..i really like it...i think it captures that album more..and looks like it was done with more money behind it...course the new cover is for the remasterd version of the album..can't wait for that and good news

There is a real small picture of the cover on this site, http://www.livedaily.com which is hosting a modest mouse contest. You may have to reload a few times, as the banner for the album alternates with one for cypress hill and some ads.

The cover looks a lot like the float on single, except with a lot more arrows.

I don't see anything? :???: All I see is an old picture of MM in black and white. What am I missing?


Hey Alec, can you please do a print screen next time you see this? Or better yet, just give us the direct link to the picture (when you see it, do a right click on it, select properties and copy the full/complete address).


Please, I'm dying to see what this new cd looks like.

I reckon that is the cover art since you can make out the long saying "good news for people who love band news...modest mouse" on the upper left hand corner.

I think its actually a bunch of white arrows stuck into a green wall. The knock and feathers on the end make it look like a bird. Pretty cool.

I checked Amazon for the cover art too!

hmm, and I was considering ordering it AND looking for it in stores the day it comes out..but that would not be wise since I full expect to find it somewhere the day it comes out.. I would be surprised if best buy had like 30 of them.. or if it was like a "featured" CD at a really low "introductory price" like with..interpol..or hot hot heat.. or, I don't know, I haven't been there in a while, but I remember that they had like two rows of the new death cab album when it came out, even though they never had any death cab before that, and this modest mouse album looks like it will be bigger than that, especially since death cab isn't even on a major label yet..
