This is just a live cd, right? I mean, no footage, correct?
If so, I'm not really interested in this since what makes this show different from the rest of our bootlegged shows.
How about y'all...who's purchasing this?

Yeah, I hate to say this but I'm feeling the same way which is why I'm not buying this. Now, if there were LIVE footage on this (meaning a dvd) then of course I'll buy it. ;)

i think we should feel lucky to be offered a high quality bootleg of mm. i'm more than willing to shell out a mere 9 bucks for a good bootleg of them. the *first* good bootleg from them. plus you get all kinds of cool extras.
i'm not sure exactly why you guys feel that way?

some of the bootlegs i got on my computer are good quality... if its a soundboard patch its most likely gonna sound pretty decent... the main difference is that it will be mixed by a professional and shit.
I am not going to get it cause its not a complete show... its just pieces of two put together

I hate it when they take 2 shows and release it on 1 album. So Im probably not going to get it since you probably can download the complete show online somewhere

I already bought it.There are so few good bands out there that I really appreciate,I have to support the ones like MM.It would be better if it included some video footage,or if it was one whole concert, but it does come with extras, and it is only $10.When they start coming out with 'Best Of..' albums every other year, then I may stop buying, but til then, bring it on.

my point, exactly..
so few bands i really love and mm happens to be one of them. but i don't get why everybody expects video footage on the bootleg cd. i always thought it was uncommon for official live cd's to come in a mixed media format.
plus, it's only 10 bucks. hell, i spent more than that on today's lunch. and i'm sure the people who refuse to spend the money will end up d/l the album. which would be worst than not buying it, i suppose...
2 cents.

there's a huge difference between a md or dat recorded bootleg and a professional/soundboard/pro mixed bootleg. and it's only 10 bucks.

I think it is definetly worth it. You can get both good news, the live cd, a poster and whatever the hell buttons are for only 21 dollars. You will end up paying about the same or 4 dollars less if you buy just good news when it comes out. Anyway, the quality is going to be quite amazing. For those of you who like radiohead, see how good I might be wrong live recordings came out to be, compared to the other live shows on the internet in the past and even now.

i feel kind of ripped off, because I already preordered good news way back when it first went up to get the autographed booklet, and now i can't cash in on the special offers (you get it a week early if you preorder it with good news) without buying a whole new copy of good news. not to mention, it's all a bunch of songs i already have in soundboard quality. i mean, not from that show, but i have them anyway. it pisses me off that they aren't releasing mm bootlegs like they do pearl jams, just putting every single show out so that everyone can have the show they went to. that is so fucking cool. and i don't even like pearl jam.

I wanna' buy it!!!
I wanna' support MM!!!!
but sony are fucking stopping me!!!!!
so i'll have to download it for free!!!!
i don't understand why you just wouldn't buy it.
it's sure to be a high quality recording.
it's $10! That's like 2-3 beers at a bar.
This'll last alot longer.
p.s. and brasstacks, take heart my man, you're lucky you GOT the autographed cd booklet. i tried to order mine the day after they went on sale, and they were sold out!

Bingo.
I heard samples from this show and I still like my other bootlegs better. I don't care what sound quality it has, as long as I have a complete show, I'm usually happy but this is not a complete show so my desire to purchase this isn't there. I've already heard (for the umpteenth time) "3 Planet" live and "Wild Pack of Family Dogs" and "The Good Times are Killing Me" (that one I heard live at a concert I attended). Anyway, to each their own but I'm not interested in this so I'm not buying it. No biggie.
BTW: I mentioned the DVD since MM has already said they're putting out a DVD which I will most likely buy since I'm highly anticipating it.

wow, i think that's pretty absurd. to care about a complete show over the quality of the music itself!?
so what's music if it sounds like shit? i seem to enjoy songs that aren't crap recordings. call me crazy...

Ltes see here... alot of the bootlegs i have are of good quality. The built to spill live cd is comperable to what mm is putting out...
with the built to spill live cd i have some of the shows that the live cd tracks came from in shn format... and to my untrained ear the bootlegs i have sound as good as the ones from the live cd... all the live cd gets you is slightly better mixing.
i will take a complete bootleg over bits and pieces anyway... if i can't have the whole show... i wan't none of it[/quote]

Ok, for the last time, I'm not interested in bits and pieces of a show. I've never owned a bootleg of such and I'm not gonna start now.

Sorry, no shit bootlegs are in my collection. ;) Speaking of such, it really kills me how others sneak a recording device into these show so that people can get a FREE copy of the gig...whereas others don't have the balls to do such but then again, it's these same people who are too scared to record the shows who have the nerve to complain about the quality of the recording? If these complainers can do a better job then do it...go to the shows and record them.
Anyway, don't start on me over such a stupid thing. I've said that I don't want this and I'm not getting this. Is it a crime that I choose not to buy this? I've never said anything about OTHERS buying this...only that I personally am not interested in this. Sure, if it was a complete show, I would be more gung-ho about it but it's not so I'm not interested.
The end.

slightly better? i highly disagree.
i have bootlegs in every kind of format and they don't ever sound as good as a official bootleg.

no need to get your panties all bunched up, hun. why is it so important to get the entire show? and please don't say you like all the lame chatter in between songs..

ummm.... this might be a new concept to you, but some people like to go and simply enjoy the show. what does "having balls" have to do with anything, really? who the hell wants to stick shit up their asses, just to make a shitty bootleg? it seems like people are too concerned about making the bootlegs and getting the entire show. why not just enjoy the songs and not be so anal?
Anyway, don't start on me over such a stupid thing. I've said that I don't want this and I'm not getting this. Is it a crime that I choose not to buy this? i never said you made those comments. but something tells me that most of you people who subscribe to that logic are going to have the bootleg in some kind of format, regardless of whether you pay for it or not.
the end. 8-)
