i know that this is pretty much already being doen in other messages but lets do it this way: first state each album then write a short paragraph stating why u rated it like u did. then list your favorite tracks.. P.S. no abreviations please..some people can't handle it . :)

1. the moon and antarctica - this album is simply amazing...so beautiful and every song is great..so i love how the first and last part of happier songs sandwich the creepy dark middle part of the album...one of the best albums ever!! (best tracks-3rd planet, paper thin walls, and wild pack of family dogs..)

2.the lonesome crowded west - this album is just sooo catchy..at first i thought it was a little to raw for my taste but after a while i had reasons for why i loved about every song on the album...and if Modest Mouse would have tried i think some of the songs could have been hits..really catchy fun album.(best tracks- cowboy dan, polar oposites, styrofome boots, and heart cooks brain)

3. long drive for somebody with nothing to think about - this album is a preview of what you would hear from this band in the years to come..it has the musical structure of The Moon and Antarctica with the vocal stylings of The Lonesome crowded west...actualy this is a close tie with Lonesom latley. (best tracks- custom concern, dramamine, head south, and talkin shit about a pretty sunset.)

building nothing out of something- i didn't # this one yet because i don't have this album yet...i have wanted it for a long time but where im from its kinda hard to find...but i have heard and downloaded allot of songs from it, so i can only assume that its as stellar as those songs..(tracks iv heard and/or downloaded - broke, never-ending math equation, sleep walking)

I don't have all thier albums, but here is my ranking (and this will probally change next week!)

1. Lonesome Crowded West - I can listen to this CD all the way thru without skipping tracks, I could listen to it everyday but I don't.

2. Good News for People who love bad news - I started listening to MM about 3 years ago but didn't start listening to them again until right before this CD came out. This is a fun album, reminds me of the summer.

3. Moon and Antartica - I haven't had the chance to listen to this entire CD, I have just kinda skipped thru it. Its a fan favorite. A few of my favorites are Tiny cities, and 3rd planet.

4. Building Nothing out of Something - Just recently got this CD, thought about buying it a couple years ago but I didn't....and I should have...in my opinion, its Modest Mouse dark album.

5. Baron Von Bullshit rides again - I don't know where to rank this..I'm glad they put out a live CD, I listened to this alot when I got it in the mail. Its a great live CD.

I have no idea. I bet I've listened to Lonesome Crowded West about 2000 times? While I've always thought it's their best I don't really listen to it anymore because, well..shit I know it like the palm of my hand. Right now, Building Nothing Out Of Something is definitely my #1. Bah, I dunno.
